Comments: "The date was August 22, 2004 when I was
out fishing by myself. I was
using down riggers to troll.
One was set at a depth of 30
feet. The second was set at a depth of 45 feet. I was Trolling
a silver and green jointed 4 1/2 inch Bomber Long A minnow. I was using 20 pound test line with no leader. I was fishing in the area just off Grenadier Island in Lake Ontario. Much to my surprise a very large Muskellunge expressed a certain degree of interest in my lure and its presentation. After a lengthy and exciting battle I was able to land the big Muskellunge. It weighed an amazing 48 pounds and was 60 inches long. This was certainly a trophy fish and I'm having the fish mounted."
